Civixen scoop! Radio Hez gets its first guest!

Guess who's running for mayor again?.... why it's longtime Eff Oh Cee, incumbent Sam Sullivan. And he's stoked to be part of the first ever Civixen podcast when I finally launch Radio Hez in the next few weeks.This is not an endorsement, but seriously, I'm not going to turn down the opportunity to pop a squat and chat with the guy, regardless of how I end up voting (I'll vote for someone, though!). Anyway, he agreed right away, because he's a good guy and he likes me, so I'm going to find a convenient time, order a load of coal and fire up the podcastulation machine like I've been meaning to do. (And hey, Gregor... call me! )

More pics from the NPA nomination are going up on Flickr... although I mostly missed it, and it had no free booze anyway, so things were kind of a bit FAIL-y on that end. HOT TIP to the candidates: invite me to all the A-list parties and you'll get hellatonz of free press from one of the hottest ladybloggers in Vancouver, pics on my Flickr, and mention in my feeds on Facebook and Twitter, and as usual, daily updates from the centre of the Heziverse over at my main blog, cvxn. Hot blog design fresh off the Griddle

I'm busy as hell over at my main blog over on Tumblr, which is quicker, easier and a lot more social (it's so easy to reblog the posts of people whose Tumblrs you're following, it's ideal for the lazyblogger). I'm loving how it looks and how I've finally been able to centralize my web presence (I know, gaylordish, but it matters these days.)

Sexy Questions

Do you know exactly how many people you've slept with?

Could you come up with a number right now if you were asked? (I don't need to know it, I'm just wondering if you know it.)

Is it a number that represents something positive or negative to you, or is it something that's managed to somehow remain neutral over the years?

When you're dating someone new, is their sexual history something that you think you want to know about, or has experience shown you that it's just too much information? Is there anything you might hear that would be a dealbreaker? Is there anything you might have to tell that you're afraid would be a dealbreaker?

I'm asking this here because this blog allows comments, and I hope to get as much feedback here as possible to incorporate in an upcoming post. Email me if you want to keep it confidential. Our friends Anonymous were back at it yesterday - I'm told that they even flew over LA in a plane with a banner reading "Honk if you think Sci is a Cult". LAist has a great photoessay from the protest, and there are lots of first person accounts and recaps with video, all yours for the Googling. And of course the Church didn't get the injunctions they were seeking. Looks like their party was ruined... awwww!

PS: Their attempts to fight fire with fire are really kind of pathetic. I won't link it, but projectchanology (dot) com has been bought and turned into a pro-Co$ information website. Nice try, but you still FAIL.

The Heziverse realigns

You'll notice some new linkage up top there... allow me to explain what it all means to you.

The Heziverse is the working title for a new blog network I have created, giving a proper home to some of my specialties, in places conducive to each different kind of blog.

The corporate site for my company, The Heather Watson Organization, is the first link, HWHQ. Hezful is the name of the food blog I've just added, Civixen will soon be going back to its roots as a politics/current affairs blog, and after a considerable absence, Poutina is back to serve the most artery-clogging internet junk food, sloppily and in true Canadian style. Coming soon - Radio Hez (for podcasts) and a few others still in development. (If anybody has some free time to take over the world with me, I need an intern!)

"How the hell will I keep track of all this?" you're asking. I've thought of that, too - and that's why I've created cvxn, the place where they all flow together. So if you're more interested in food porn than politics, you can go straight for the meat (and potatoes!), but if you like it all mixed together, cvxn is where you'll find a master feed with links to all the posts from every corner of The Heziverse.
